Tavlo

Terms of Use

Last updated 28 October 2026

1. Who we are and how to contact us

Tavlo is operated by Solid Grove Pte. Ltd., 68 Circular Road #02-01, Singapore 049422. These terms cover our web app at https://trytavlo.com and our quiz and checkout at https://quiz.trytavlo.com.

Contact us at support@trytavlo.com about your account, subscription, a complaint or these terms. You can also write to our postal address above.

2. What Tavlo provides

Tavlo is a subscription web app that helps adults build communication skills, including small talk, conversation confidence and communication at work and in social situations. It offers short lessons you can read, listen to as audio with a transcript, or watch as embedded video; interactive conversation-practice scenarios with branching dialogues, a score and feedback; a personalised learning path; and daily goals and streaks.

The service is for general education and self-improvement. It is not psychological, medical, therapeutic, career or legal advice or treatment, and it does not replace advice from a qualified professional.

People learn differently. We do not promise a particular improvement, result or outcome from using the service.

3. Who can use Tavlo and using it sensibly

You must be at least 18 to create an account, buy a subscription or use the service.

Scores and feedback in practice scenarios are general guidance based on the choices you make in a simulated conversation. They are not an assessment of your abilities, personality or health. Use your own judgement when applying what you learn in real conversations.

If you have concerns about your mental health or wellbeing, or about a specific workplace, career or legal situation, please seek help from a qualified professional.

4. Your account

Sign-in uses your email address and a one-time 6-digit code. There is no password. Use an email address you control, keep access to that email secure, and do not share sign-in codes.

Keep your account information accurate. Contact support@trytavlo.com if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.

Closing an account, stopping use of the service or deleting emails is not a substitute for cancelling a subscription. Use one of the cancellation methods in section 7.

5. Your agreement and access

When you purchase a subscription, these terms, the Subscription Policy and the Money-Back Guarantee describe your purchase. The plan, total first payment, renewal price and billing interval must be clear before you place a paid order. Keep your purchase confirmation for your records.

Your subscription provides access for the period you have paid for, subject to these terms and your statutory rights. Immediate access does not by itself remove any right to withdraw from the purchase.

You need an internet connection and a compatible device and browser to use the web app. Your internet or mobile provider may charge for data.

Your learning progress, including completed lessons, daily goals and streaks, is stored locally in your browser on the device you use. It is not synced to our servers. Clearing your browser data, using private browsing, or switching to another browser or device may mean that progress is not available there.

6. Prices, payments and automatic renewal

The 1-week trial costs $6.29 for the first week, then $33.99 every 4 weeks. The 4-week plan costs $13.19 for the first 4 weeks, then $33.39 every 4 weeks. The 12-week plan costs $27.69 for the first 12 weeks, then $69.39 every 12 weeks.

Prices are in US dollars and exclude taxes; applicable taxes are shown and added at checkout. The first period is paid, not a free trial; the 1-week trial is a paid introductory week. Billing is in weeks: 1, 4 and 12 weeks are not calendar months.

Your subscription automatically renews at the stated renewal price and interval until cancelled. By placing the paid order, you authorise recurring payments for your selected plan.

Stripe processes payments. We do not store your card numbers. The Subscription Policy explains billing and cancellation in more detail.

7. How to cancel

Cancel at any time before your next renewal by emailing support@trytavlo.com or by going to Profile → Subscription → Cancel subscription in the web app.

For email cancellation, identify your account using the email address associated with the subscription. A clear cancellation request sent before renewal is effective for that renewal even if we process it later. There is no requirement to give a reason.

After cancellation, access continues until the end of the period already paid for and the subscription will not renew. Ordinary cancellation does not itself refund a payment. The Money-Back Guarantee and your statutory rights may entitle you to a refund.

8. Refunds and consumer rights

Our 28-day money-back guarantee refunds your first subscription payment if you email support@trytavlo.com within 28 days of purchase. There is no minimum activity requirement or need to prove a particular result. See the Money-Back Guarantee for the request process.

EU consumers also generally have 14 days from concluding the contract to withdraw without giving a reason. Different rules apply to digital content and ongoing digital services. Our Money-Back Guarantee explains those rules and the safeguards required before any right can be lost.

The guarantee is additional to your rights under applicable consumer law. Nothing in these terms limits rights relating to faulty, unavailable or misdescribed digital content or services, including remedies such as bringing the service into conformity, a price reduction or termination and refund where the law provides them.

9. Permitted use of the content

You may use the lessons, audio, video, transcripts and practice scenarios for your own personal, non-commercial use during your subscription. This permission does not transfer ownership of intellectual property.

Do not sell, publicly distribute, commercially teach from or republish our content without permission, except where the law permits it. Do not bypass access controls, interfere with the service, introduce harmful code, or use someone else's account without authority.

These restrictions do not prevent uses or other rights that applicable law protects.

10. Availability, changes and ending access

The service may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or because of technical problems. Contact support@trytavlo.com if you cannot access something you have paid for. Your statutory rights remain available.

Changes to the service or these terms must not remove rights you have already acquired. Material changes affecting a paid subscription will be communicated in advance as required by law, with any applicable right to cancel or receive a refund.

A price change will not affect a period already paid for. A change to future renewal pricing requires advance notice and an opportunity to cancel before the new price takes effect, together with any additional agreement required by law.

We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address a serious breach of these terms, fraud, a security risk or a legal requirement. Where reasonably possible, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to resolve the issue. Any restriction must be proportionate.

If we permanently stop providing a paid service for reasons unrelated to your breach, we will refund the unused part of the paid period. This does not limit any more favourable remedy required by law.

11. Privacy and cookies

The Privacy Policy explains how we handle information about you. The Cookie Policy explains necessary cookies, analytics and advertising technologies, and your choices.

Accepting these terms is not consent to optional analytics, marketing cookies or marketing emails. Any consent required for those purposes must be obtained separately.

12. Responsibility and liability

We are responsible for providing the service with the care and quality required by applicable law. You remain responsible for deciding how to apply what you learn in your own conversations and circumstances.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Your mandatory consumer rights are unaffected.

13. Governing law, complaints and disputes

Singapore law governs these terms. If you are a consumer, this choice does not remove mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence that apply to you.

Please contact support@trytavlo.com if you have a complaint so we can try to resolve it. You do not have to contact us before exercising a legal right where the law allows you to act directly.

Nothing in these terms requires you to bring a claim only in Singapore or removes any right to bring a claim in the courts or use a consumer dispute process available to you under applicable law.
