Cookie Policy

About this policy
This policy explains cookies and similar technologies used for Tavlo at https://trytavlo.com and our quiz and checkout at https://quiz.trytavlo.com.
Tavlo is operated by Solid Grove Pte. Ltd., 68 Circular Road #02-01, Singapore 049422. For questions or help with your choices, contact support@trytavlo.com. Our Privacy Policy explains personal information, recipients, international transfers, retention and privacy rights.
What cookies and similar technologies do
A cookie is a small piece of information stored on your device by a website. Some cookies last only for a browser session; others remain until they expire or you remove them. First-party cookies are set for the website you visit; third-party cookies are associated with other providers.
Similar technologies include browser storage and pixels that send information when a page or event is recorded. The rules and choices in this policy apply according to what a technology does, not just whether it is called a cookie. Sending an event from a server does not automatically remove applicable privacy or consent requirements.
Strictly necessary technologies
Strictly necessary technologies support a service you request, such as maintaining a session and completing email-code sign-in. Tavlo uses an email address and a one-time, six-digit code instead of a password.
The web app at https://trytavlo.com itself sets only strictly necessary cookies: a short-lived, signed cookie that holds your pending sign-in code while you complete sign-in, and a signed session cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. The web app does not set advertising cookies.
The web app also uses your browser's local storage to keep your learning progress, daily goals and streaks on your device, because you ask it to remember them. This information is not sent to our servers.
These technologies do not require cookie consent where they are genuinely necessary to provide the requested service. A technology used for analytics or advertising does not become necessary simply because it is useful to our business.
Blocking necessary cookies through your browser may prevent sign-in or other requested features from working. Clearing local storage removes the progress saved on that device.
Embedded lesson videos
Some lessons include video shown through an embedded third-party video player. When a video loads, the player's provider may set its own cookies or similar technologies and receive information from your browser under its own policies.
Analytics technologies
Analytics help us understand how people use the quiz and identify areas to improve. The quiz may use analytics technologies configured in FunnelsGrove.
Our policy is to treat optional analytics tracking as requiring your prior consent. Refusing analytics must not prevent access to the core service you request.
Marketing and advertising technologies
The quiz may use marketing pixels and attribution configured in FunnelsGrove. These technologies help connect visits or purchases with advertising and measure advertising results. The web app does not set advertising cookies.
Advertising tracking can disclose information to those platforms and allow activity to be linked across services or devices, depending on the configuration. Our policy is to require prior consent for optional marketing tracking, separately from necessary service functions.
Choosing, refusing and withdrawing consent
Our consent standard is that optional analytics and advertising technologies stay off until you actively choose them. You must be able to accept all optional categories, reject all optional categories, or choose analytics and marketing separately. Optional choices must not be preselected.
Continuing to browse, completing the quiz, paying, or accepting the Terms does not itself mean that you consent to optional tracking. Withdrawing consent must be as easy as giving it and stops future consent-based tracking; it does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful.
You can contact support@trytavlo.com for help or to exercise privacy rights. Email support is not a substitute for an accessible on-site consent control.
Browser and device controls
Most browsers let you review, delete or block cookies and other website storage through their privacy settings. Consult your browser's help for the steps that apply to your device. You may also have advertising controls in your device or advertising-platform account.
Deleting cookies or site data can remove a saved preference, a sign-in session and the learning progress stored on that device, so you may need to sign in and make your choices again. Browser settings often apply separately to each browser and device.
Blocking cookies alone may not stop every pixel or server-side disclosure. Use the website's consent controls as well, and contact us if you need help. Provider or device settings supplement your choices with Tavlo.
Policy updates
We may update this policy when the technologies we use or applicable requirements change. The date at the top identifies this version. A change to this policy does not itself provide consent to a new optional purpose.
